Characteristic Specific Sessions

The Disability Equality course educates individuals on the core principles of disability equality and how to promote inclusion and accessibility for disabled people.

Topics covered include:

  • The social model of disability
  • Disability rights
  • Legal requirements including reasonable adjustments in the workplace and public spaces.
  • The impact of ableism, privilege, and unconscious bias
  • Hand how to recognise and challenge attitudes and structures that unfairly discriminate against disabled people  
  • Identifying and removing barriers to accessibility and inclusion

We provide practical strategies for creating accessible communication and environments, and explore strategies to effectively consult, engage with and support disabled staff, customers and other stakeholders.   This course is created and delivered by experienced trainers who identify as disabled people and are disability advocates and activists.Please let us know about your specific needs, as all courses will be tailored.
